Forum
 
In the forum, you can post short messages in structured and question-answer lists. You can create as many forums as you like. A forum is divided into three structural levels. This should allow for the best possible structuring of the discussion topics:

3 Levels:
Forum: Top level title with a short description
: Associated sub-topics of the top level
: Individual messages

To maintain an overview of a big forum, view options are available that make the reading easier.

Creating a forum
  1. The Input mask is opened with the “create fact”/”Forum” or “create forum”. This link you will find in the “edit box” in the Left column - list of boxes.
  2. Then fill in the input mask of the first level (main theme) and click on “next >>”
  3. Then choose the permissions for that forum. Forum facts have 2 additional special permissions that must be taken into account.
  4. When you are satisfied with the “Preview” of the , don't forget to publish the Forum.

The text of the main topic (forum) can be changed at any time. The topics and the postings can only be edited if nobody else has read them yet.

Creating topics/themes
Afterwards you can create several topics, which can be discussed.
  1. You have clicked on the title of the forum and you see the description of the forum and maybe a list with already created topics.
  2. You can see a small input form at the end of the topic list. -> Enter your text.
  3. Click below the input fields on the button "preview".
  4. You can then see the result of your input.
    a) Click on “edit”, if you want to correct something.
    b) Click on “publish”, if you want to publish your message and make it visible for permitted users.
    c) Click on "edit to GOE", if you want to check and change if necessary the settings for the guarantee of existance given.
Creating Postings
The answers of a topic are called "postings".
  1. Click on the title of the posting or on the topic, to which you want to reply to.
  2. At the end of the page will then appear a reply form -> Enter your text.
  3. Click below the input fields on the button "preview".
  4. You can then see the result of your input.
    a) Click on “edit”, if you want to correct something.
    b) Click on “publish”, if you want to publish your posting and make it visible for permitted users.
    c) Click on "edit to GOE", if you want to check and change if necessary the settings for the guarantee of existance given.

The answer form is not displayed if you have chosen the display setting, „all items full texts”.

Hiding topics/postings.
There is a possibility that is available to the creator of a forum (or to the write permitted users), to “hide” individual topics and/or their corresponding postings (replies). To do that, the users that have the permission for it can click on the “hide”-link in the cell of each topic/posting.
